Step 25 Click on the simpleSteps variable inside the event block; a get simpleSteps block will
appear.

Step 26 Drag the get simpleSteps block and attach it to set Label1.Text.

TESTING THE PEDOMETER APP

After completing the design and blocks for your Pedometer app, follow these steps to test it on
your mobile device.

Step 1 Open the MIT AI2 Companion app on your mobile phone.

Step 2 Click on Connect from the top menu.

Step 3 Click on AI Companion from the drop-down list.
The Connect to Companion message box appears.

Step 4 Open MIT A12 Companion on your device and connect by scanning the QR code or
typing the code displayed on your screen.

Once you finish testing the app, you can start using it. Make sure it accurately counts the steps,
responds to the Start, Stop and Reset buttons and displays the step count correctly in the label.
